Prospects for the interaction of countries of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) in the field of railway transport were discussed at the meeting of the Commission of permanent representatives at EurAsEC in Moscow on Friday.
The participants in the meeting endorsed the draft agreements on the general principles of uniform railway tariffs for member countries of the community and joint action plan of these countries to form the transport union in 2003-2005, Vladimir Nikanorov, the press secretary of EurAsEC, told Itar Tass on Friday. He said the documents would be submitted to the EurAsEC Integration committee.
According to him the next meeting of the Commission of permanent representatives at EurAsEC would be held in Dushanbe in April.
The community includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Moldova and Ukraine have the status of observers.
