The head of the Kyrgyz Central Electoral Committee, Sulayman Imanbayev, has announced exact dates for the forthcoming 2005 elections.
The KyrgyzInfo news agency reports Sulayman Imanbayev met the head of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights [ODIHR], Nikolay Vulchanov. The head of the Kyrgyz Central Electoral Committee said that the country was preparing for elections and made public their exact dates. In line with the Constitution, elections of deputies to local councils will be held on 10 October this year. Parliamentary elections will held on 27 February next year and Presidential elections will be held on 24 October 2005.
