Deputy of Parliament Tursunbai Bakir Uulu told the session of the lower parliamentary chamber, the Legislative Assembly, on 15 July that the government should negotiate with Russian authorities on social guarantees to Kyrgyz citizens working in Russia.
According to him, conditions of work and living of Kyrgyz citizens in Sverdlovsk Oblast are very difficult, for instance, police demands 1,000 rubles (about $32) instead of official 20 rubles for registration and owners of apartments where the businesspersons live, do not give permissions for registration of their passports.
Deputies of Kyrgyz parliament Omurbek Tekebaev, Tursunbai Bakir Uulu and Tajinisa Abdrasulova returned on 12 July from the Sverdlovsk of Russia. They met with Kyrgyz businesspersons working there as well as with local Russian authorities. According to them, about 15,000 people from Kyrgyzstan work now in the oblast.
