[17.01.23] Turkish Subcontractor Owes Thousands of Dollars to the Kyrgyz Workers

Ever-pressing matter of salaries that the Kyrgyz workers have not been paid for months now was on the agenda at the Legislative Assembly of the Jogorku Kenesh. People, working day and night without money are on the verge of despair appealing to the deputies in the capital.
Mr. D. Kara, head of the project, representative of the Turkish firm Entes, subcontracting for the works between 248-325 and 362-412 km of the road, has provided the following explanation: Our firm has faced certain financial problems, but we do our best to alleviate the tension.
Jogorku Kenesh had no mercy to the violators: it is recommended to the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic to sever the contract with Entes. The deputies also intend to appeal to Attorney General to sue the Turkish partners.
