Inflation in Kyrgyzstan stood at 1% in April and 3% since the beginning of the year, sources at the National Statistic Committee told Interfax.
In April food prices were 2.1% up, while non-food prices went down 0.4%. Charges on public services went down 0.1%.
Since the beginning of the year food prices have gone up 5.9%, and non-food prices have gone down 1%. Charges on public services have gone up 1.2%.
The law on Kyrgyzstan's state budget sets the inflation for 2003 at 5%. Last year consumer prices went up 2.3%.
