[22.05.23] Kyrgyzstans Budget Surplus Reaches 1.4% of GDP in 1st Quarter of 2003

Kyrgyzstan's budget surplus for the first quarter of 2003 reached 202.2 million soms, or 1.4% of the GDP, a report prepared by the National Statistics Committee states.
 
In the first quarter of this year, Kyrgyzstan's budget revenues reached 2.89 billion soms, or 20.6% of the GDP, including 2.26 billion in tax revenues and 616.4 million in non-tax revenues. Revenues from operations with capital reached 12.4 million soms.
 
Budget spending in the first quarter of this year reached 2.68 billion, or 19.2% of the GDP.
 
In the 2003 budget, revenues are projected at 13.84 billion soms, spending at 13.97 billion soms, and deficit at 124 million soms, or 0.15% of the GDP.
 
The official exchange rate for May 21 was 43.0856 soms to $1.
