"Hizb-ut-Tahrir" member detained for illegal possession of explosives

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) press service stated, that on February 13, 2006, police detained A. Ergeshev in Kyzyl Kiya for illegal possession of explosives and 6 books, 32 brochures, 51 leaflets and 4 computer disks of extremist religious content. 2 notebooks full of information about the connections of members of the religious-extremist organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir were also seized. According to the Bishkek City Police Department (BCPD) press service, on February 9, 2006, police detained a Bishkek resident N. Smanov who was distributing leaflets of extremist religious content. 20 leaflets were seized. Charges against these individuals have started, states BCPD press service. /AKIpress/
