More humanitarian aid to the victims of heavy snowfalls in the south of Kyrgyzstan

The Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergency Situations received the humanitarian aid from the Ministry of Defense of Spain to deliver it to the victims of heavy snowfalls occurred in the southern parts of Kyrgyzstan this January. The aid was delivered by the military plane to the Manas International Airport and includes jackets, boots, olive oil, kerosene heaters, wool blankets, shirts, underwear, and shelter tents. The similar humanitarian aid was delivered to Osh by the Government of Moscow to the value over 72 million Russian roubles. Several other countries and international organizations expressed readiness to respond to the emergency requests for assistance by the Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergency Situations with regard to heavy snowfalls in Osh and Jalalabad oblasts. The Ministry of Emergency Situations submitted the proposal on providing assistance to the populations suffered from the heavy snowfall in January of 2006 for consideration by the government. /Kabar/
