[18.03.23] Kyrgyzstan Posts 0.4% Inflation in February

Kyrgyzstan posted inflation of 0.4% in February and 1.3% from the beginning of the year, the national statistics committee told Interfax.
 
In February the price of food goods went up 0.9%, non-food goods went down 0.3% and service charges rose 0.4%.
In the first two months, food goods went up 2.3% in price, non-food goods dropped 0.2% and service charges increased by 1.3%.
 
Consumer price inflation reached 0.9% in January.
 
The 2003 budget predicts inflation of 5%. Kyrgyzstan posted inflation of 2.3% in 2002 and 3.7% in 2001. Poverty reduction priority in 2003.
