Representatives of European Universities, TEMPUS project partners came on a visit to the Kyrgyz Technical University (KTU), among them professors from Bradford Royal College (Great Britain) and University of Nice (France). According to A.Sultanbekov, KTU provost in marketing and external relations, the purpose of the visit was to discuss the first stage of TEMPUS project, currently implemented by KTU. Last year KTU won a 299 thousand-Euro grant from TEMPUS intended for the project: "Development and modernization of library - information center at KTU". A.Sultanbekov points out that KTU employees already had an opportunity to intern at the two universities in Great Britain and France. Besides, KTU held a seminar involving all Bishkek libraries - specialized, university and public. The project will be completed by the end of this year. Creating an electronic database of KTU library and equipping it with up-to-date ITC and library programs will be a final product of this initiative.
