[24.04.23] Respiratory Diseases (45%) and Diarrhea (25%) Account for Infant Mortality in Kyrgyzstan

These are the data announced at the meeting on realization of strategy "Integrated Tracking of Infant Diseases" (ITID).
World Health Organization in Kyrgyzstan also notes that perinatal, respiratory and infectious diseases are prevailing causes of child mortality in the country.
ITID program has been implemented in the country since 2000 through WHO and Health Ministry. Three pilot districts have been selected in the framework of this program - Djeti-Oguz district of the Issyk-Kul oblast, Aravan district of Osh oblast and Djayil district of Chui oblast. The purpose of the meeting, held this week, was to evaluate the first results and discuss the options for expanding the program throughout the republic
