[28.05.23] Russian Airbase in Kyrgyzstan to Be Opened in Summer

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov has announced that the Russian airbase in Kyrgyzstan will officially be opened in the summer.
"Although talks are underway, the two presidents have coordinated all necessary measures, only purely technical details are left, that is, who owns which buildings and who will pay for what," Ivanov pointed out.
Russian Air Force fighters will be deployed to a Russian military base Secretary General of the Collective Security Council Nikolai Bordyuzha said earlier that the Russian air contingent will reinforce the collective rapid deployment force in Central Asia. Su-25 and Su-27 fighters as well as procurement units will be deployed to Kant, Bordyuzha pointed out.
