[09.12.2OO2] Cameco names Terry Rogers to head operations

Cameco Corp. <CCO.TO> named Terry Rogers as its new chief operating officer on Monday, to oversee its Canadian and international uranium mining and processing operations.
Cameco, the world's largest uranium supplier, used in nuclear energy plants, said Rogers previously headed Cameco's gold subsidiary, Kumtor Operating Co., in Kyrgyzstan.
He will also oversee Cameco's future production expansion plans, and begins his new posting on Feb. 1.
The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan-based company also named Andrew Lewis to succeed Rogers as president of the Kumtor gold unit from Jan. 15.
