[30.01.2OO3] Recent Years Have Marked Lower Quality of Equation in Kyrgyzstan

Recent years have marked lower quality of education in Kyrgyzstan, as was revealed by the National Testing. For instance, average scores of the students, enrolled in the universities, were twice as low as the one required by the standards. Press service of the Ministry for Education and Culture reports that I. Boldjurova, Minister for Education and Culture of the KR discussed the issue at the meeting with Chui oblast school principals in Tokmak. Participants of the meeting adopted a resolution, stating that it is vital to improve quality of education in the KR in the year of Kyrgyz statehood. Such strategic programs as Selskaya shkola, Obrazovanie dlya Vseh are to become a big part of it. Also, it was pointed out that local elective officials should cooperate with school principals to help them solve financial problems.
